Fascias & Soffits by HCS
When you want to combine long term protection for your home with improved appearance and increased value, invest in PVCu roofline replacement boards.
Fitting fascias and soffit boards to your home protects the rafter and joist ends from the ravages of the British weather. Years of exposure to our weather can leave your home exposed to damp, condensation, and decay. It's vital, therefore, to keep your rafter and joist ends in good condition.
You can always choose to re-paint and repair your timber but that's not only time consuming but also VERY expensive.
So, what's the answer? Easy. Let HCS - the number one expert in fascias and soffits in your area - eliminate your roofline problems by replacing your old fascia, soffit and bargeboards with top quality PVCu products.
The materials we use
At HCS we use Freefoam high quality 18mm fascia board and 10mm soffit board. Nothing else: ever. Important ventilation is achieved by fitting Ubink over-fascia ventilator strips to comply with all current building regulations.
Both Freefoam and Ubink products are manufactured to British Standard EN ISO 9002. Using British Standard ISO products ensures we achieve the same high standards of work time and time again.
Installing new PVCu roofline products has these benefits:
- You get a product that doesn't rot or flake;
- You save money on painting;
- You improve the appearance of your home;
- You add value to your home.
What we do during Fascia installation
- We always remove the first layer of tiles and replace the damaged ends of the roof felt with a rigid felt support tray;
- We always fit brand new matching guttering in a style of your choice to complement your home.
We can fit fascias and soffits in black, brown, and the ever popular white. If you need a wood grain finish, you have a choice of light oak or rich mahogany.
For a better idea of the finished product, take a look at some examples of our work in our photo galleries.
One thing we refuse to do is "over-cladding". We always remove old fascia, soffit, and bargeboards. This allows us - and you - to inspect the roof rafters and joists for rot and damage. We will then repair them, where necessary. Simple over-cladding old and rotten fascia boards will only hide existing problems and allow rot to set in undetected. By hiding problems, over-cladding may result in future serious structural roof damage.
Our Installers
HCS is extremely proud of our trained, dedicated, skilled, and reliable tradesmen. We wouldn’t employ them if they didn’t match our high standards.
And remember, our installers work only for HCS: We never use sub-contractors.
Special Information
The terms PVCu, uPVC, PVC-U, and PVCU all essentially refer to the same product. We use all of these terms because many companies still use a "mixture" of them when describing their Low Maintenance or Maintenance Free Building Products. The current "industry standard" term for these products is PVC-U.
All of our work carries a ten year insurance backed guarantee - underwritten by Lloyds - for total peace of mind.
